Once every four years God gives us another opportunity (day) where we can impact someone else’s world. A day that I like to call ‘Totally Bonus’. It’s a day so special that most don’t even make plans for – but even forget it’s existence. So what are you going to do with your ‘added’ opportunity, your Bonus Day?
Do you realize that you leave an impression everywhere you go? But what impression are you leaving? We live everyday in a world of opportunities. Jesus commanded His disciples to go into the entire world and preach the Gospel – He sent them out to bring the message of Hope to the entire world. That message of Hope is the same He asks us to carry, but now He has brought the world to us. The nations are now on our doorstep, in our colleges, schools, at our work places etc. We live in the greatest mission field ever…our daily lives. We need to realize the wonderful privilege we have to be able to share God’s Good News with others, His news of Redemption, Salvation and Peace.
You and I can find ourselves exactly where God intended for us to be, but yet, miss the opportunity…fail to seize the moment. Preaching is not all about chapter and verse (yes, God’s Word is of great importance), but it’s about being His light of Hope and love to this world.
Why Not Pray This Today: God you’ve given me an extra day…today I’m going to seize every moment and leave lasting impressions as I walk with godly footprints. Today my life will make a difference as I dare to be different!
